funny how I didn’t study once for any of my finals this year yet I end up getting A’s in all those classes. Trig and AP Physics don’t count, we never had a “final”.
For sure C- in AP Physics which is weighted to a B-!! Managed to pull a 3.57 GPA even going through alot of bullsh*t. Not my best, but nothing; should’ve done better. Oh well. Finally going to be a SENIOR!! #school #finalgrades #reportcard #blah (Taken with instagram)
So stoked!
Message me if you’re taking classes too! We can be friends! =)

Golden Gate Bridge 75th Fireworks on Flickr.
The Grand Finale of the Golden Gate Bridge’s 75th anniversary was a spectacular 20 minute firework and laser light show that displayed the majesty of the iconic bridge and the city she stands for, San Francisco. I decided to walk all the way down to Kirby Cove to witness this amazing event. Surprisingly, there were not as many people down on the beach as there were up on the hills of the Marin Headlands.
Oh man, Kirby Cove was so awesome.

WireShade Lighting
Marc Trotereau, a London-based designer has created the beautiful WireShade lighting.
“The wireshade project is an interpretation of the making and the use of the lampshade. The traditional making of a lampshade is a flexible and relatively easy process based on brazing metal rods. Marc Trotereau decided to adapt this way of making by creating a jig, which gives the possibility to braze three metal rods together at the same time. This set up enable the production of three-dimensional cubical shapes. The structure is painted or powder coated and then covered with corrugated plastic also known as ‘Correx’. This material is flame retardant and antistatic. The morphology of the correx gives the possibility to clip it to the metal structure. Marc Trotereau developed a flexible process to create shells that can be use as lampshades for every type of wall, ceiling, and corners… The lampshade becomes a sculptural and unique object, which can adapt its shape to any type of space.”

The world is full of great industrial designers. People have ideas every day about how to make something more functional or beautiful, or they imagine up new products that no one knows they need yet. But those ideas are largely lost in notebooks and mockups that never see the light of day because industrial design takes money and market visibility. Until recently getting a product to market meant finding venture capital, maxing out credit cards, or working for a large design firm. Then, often the product was lost in a sea of merchandise on store shelves and e-commerce sites. What designers needed was a way to get backing and exposure at the same time. Enter Kickstarter.
